Allahabad HC quashes NSA detention of student, calls case ‘concocted story’
The Allahabad High Court overturned the National Security Agency’s detention of law student Akriti Chaudhary, describing the case as fabricated. Chaudhary had been taken into custody while a workers’ protest unfolded in Noida in April. The bench also ordered the Noida administration to compensate her with ₹5 lakh and awarded her legal costs for the unlawful arrest.
