A.P. releases ₹9.86 crore to upgrade 16 de-addiction centres
The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated ₹9.86 crore to transform three existing hospitals—Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Kadapa—into specialized addiction treatment centers. The upgrade will create Centres of Excellence that offer advanced rehabilitation services. They will provide counseling, detoxification, and long‑term therapy, and will be staffed by specialists trained in addiction medicine.
