Keralam approves ₹1,000-crore housing scheme for SC, ST families
Kerala's government has sanctioned a ₹1,000‑crore housing program targeting scheduled‑caste and scheduled‑tribe households. The plan aims to provide homes for roughly 25,000 SC families and 7,000 ST families. Financial aid per unit rises to ₹6 lakh for both groups, while grants for homes in remote areas increase to ₹8 lakh. The scheme was announced by Minister K.A. Thulasi.
