No firecrackers beyond stipulated hours during Kali Puja-Diwali in West Bengal: Environment Minister
West Bengal’s environment minister Manoj Oraon announced that firecrackers will be prohibited outside the legally permitted hours for Kali Puja and Diwali. The state will operate mobile monitoring teams around the clock to detect violations, enforce rules, safeguard public safety and reduce environmental impact. Authorities aim to ensure compliance during the festival period throughout the celebrations.
