Megalithic burial chamber discovered at Kanhangad in Keralam, throwing light on 2,000-year-old human settlement
Archaeologists have uncovered a megalithic burial chamber in Nittadukkam, part of Kasaragod district in Kerala's Kanhangad region. The structure, dating to roughly two millennia ago, offers new evidence of an ancient human settlement in the area. A historian noted that local reverence helped preserve the monument, which may be one of the oldest surviving markers of Kanhangad’s early inhabitants.
