Expired drugs possibly given to Nipah patients, says Keralam Health Minister
Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan announced that a medical board will investigate claims that expired Remdesivir was administered to patients infected with Nipah virus, potentially contributing to fatalities. The probe will examine procurement records, storage practices and treatment protocols to determine if the drug’s shelf life was exceeded and whether it impacted patient outcomes in the state.
