Government extends new ESIC amnesty scheme by three months till Dec 31
India's government has prolonged the Employee State Insurance Corporation's new amnesty programme until December 31, adding three months to its deadline. The scheme permits employers to resolve ad‑hoc assessments by paying the exact contributions plus interest, while avoiding additional penalties. Cases where dues are already settled can be withdrawn, provided employers pay ten percent of any contested damages.
