A corporation councillor has offered to apologize for verbally abusing and body‑shaming Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. Her lawyer informed the Madras High Court that she has applied for anticipatory bail in a case linked to remarks made during a DMK women’s wing meeting in Chennai on Oct. 7, 2026 to address the allegations.
