Forest Department says no protocol to formally inform royal family about ‘Ambari’ elephant selection
The Forest Department said there is no formal protocol for notifying the Wadiyar royal family about the selection of the elephant ‘Ambari’ for the Jamboo Savari tour. The department confirmed that the decision to make the tusker Prashanth the lead elephant was communicated to Pramoda Devi Wadiyar by phone on Oct. 12, according to the Deputy Conservator of Forests.
