OBR slashes UK growth forecast for 2027 despite Healey’s budget measures
The Office for Budget Responsibility cut its forecast for UK growth in 2027, despite Chancellor Jeremy Healey’s budget measures. It also downgraded expectations for household living standards, attributing the decline partly to the Middle East conflict’s impact on the economy. The OBR now projects GDP growth of about 1.5% annually by 2027, lower than earlier estimates.
