SCR rolls out GPS tracking devices for 1,800 patrolmen across three divisions
South Central Railway has begun installing GPS tracking units for about 1,800 track‑patrol staff in three of its divisions. The devices will monitor the crew as they inspect railway infrastructure, including bolts, switches, bridge fittings, culverts, sleepers and other components for damage or defects. The move aims to improve oversight and safety on the network.
