The Kochi city police commissioner, Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, has been removed as the probe continues into a Cheranalloor luxury‑car collision that involved the minor son of a judge. The state government is expected to appoint R. Nishanthini, the current IGP for the South Zone, as his successor. The decision follows the suspension of four officers from the Cheranalloor police station.
