India poised to refine for world as global capacity declines: Union Minister Hardeep Puri
India aims to boost its refining output to serve global markets as worldwide capacity falls, Union Minister Hardeep Puri said. The country’s current refining capacity stands at about 290 million tonnes per year, and the government expects further expansion in the coming years to meet rising demand. The expansion will help compensate for reduced output in Europe and North America.
