Elephant calf dies after slipping down slope in Wayanad
Video from a wildlife camera in Kerala's Wayanad district captured a young elephant falling down a steep slope. The animal's mother and other herd members were heard making loud trumpeting calls as they attempted to help. The calf later died from injuries sustained in the fall, officials said.
