India's Election Commission clarified that the extra declaration it introduced alongside Form 6 is not a component of that form. The clarification follows the Supreme Court's announcement that it will review the recently revised Form 6, which now asks voters to disclose prior entries on electoral rolls for themselves, parents or grandparents. The ECI maintains the declaration is a separate requirement.
