SC pulls up Rajasthan over Jojari river pollution, warns of CBI probe
India's Supreme Court has admonished the Rajasthan government for ongoing pollution of the Jojari river, indicating it may refer the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The court previously ordered the state to close and remove all unauthorized discharge points, including bypasses, manholes, chambers, pipelines and conduits, to stop illegal waste dumping and protect water quality.
