Gujarat govt. declares Devbhoomi Dwarka, Kutch, Jamnagar and Porbandar as drought-affected
Gujarat's chief minister Bhupendra Patel announced that the state government has officially classified the districts of Devbhoomi Dwarka, Kutch, Jamnagar and Porbandar as drought‑affected. The decision follows central government guidelines issued in 2016 and was made after the monsoon season concluded. Under the guidelines, the drought status will remain in force for an ongoing six months.
