Pakistan’s Punjab government extends detention of Imran Khan’s sisters by 30 days
Punjab authorities have prolonged the custody of three sisters of former prime minister Imran Khan—Aleema Khan, Noreen Niazi and Dr. Uzma Khan—for an additional 30 days under a public safety statute. The detainees remain at Kot Lakhpat jail. PTI member Moonis Elahi described the extension as politically driven, while officials cite security and legal concerns.
