Rain lashes districts across southern Tamil Nadu
Heavy rain across southern Tamil Nadu disrupted transportation, with the ghat road linking Batlagundu to the hill station of Kodaikanal suffering damage. The state highways authority halted movement of heavy trucks after 6 p.m. to prevent accidents. Officials warned that the weather could further affect travel and urged motorists to exercise caution. They inspected the routes for landslides and advised drivers to follow alternate paths.
