Heavy rain inundates streets, homes in Coimbatore city
Heavy rain fell on Coimbatore on Oct. 25, dumping over 80 millimetres in three hours between mid‑afternoon and early evening. The sudden downpour caused rapid runoff that flooded streets and entered homes across the city throughout. Local officials, including the collector, reported the inundation and urged residents to take precautions as water levels rose in the area.
