Freedom Park will come up in Kittur Fort, says CM Shivakumar
Chief Minister Shivakumar announced plans to develop Freedom Park within Kittur Fort. He also confirmed that the state will grant financial approval for the Channavrushabhendra irrigation scheme, projected to cost around ₹520 crore, aiming to support agricultural and water needs in the Kittur area. The park will preserve the historic fort and provide recreation; the irrigation scheme aims to improve water supply and boost farming.
