Depression over Bay of Bengal set to become ‘very severe cyclonic storm’, cross A.P. coast by October 28
The Indian Meteorological Department warned that a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm and move across the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coastlines on Wednesday morning. Forecast winds are 115‑125 km/h with gusts up to 140 km/h, and officials say the impact could exceed that of last year’s Montha cyclone.
