FPIs withdraw ₹48,056 cr from equities in October so far amid elevated crude oil prices
Foreign portfolio investors pulled about ₹48,056 crore from Indian equity markets in October, driven by higher crude oil prices. The withdrawals bring total 2026 outflows to roughly ₹3.08 lakh crore, more than double the ₹1.66 lakh crore withdrawn throughout 2025, according to data reported by The Hindu. The data showed the scale of outflows. These figures highlight the pressure on domestic equities amid global commodity price spikes.
