Brazilians vote in presidential election runoff pitting leftist Lula against far-right Bolsonaro
Brazil held a presidential runoff election, with former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva facing off against far‑right candidate Jair Bolsonaro. Lula, a left‑wing leader, previously served as president and lost the first round, while Bolsonaro, a former lawmaker and son of a convicted ex‑president, leads the opposition. Voters will decide the nation’s direction in the decisive second round.
