ISRO to have four launch pads by 2029, says Narayanan
India’s space agency plans to operate four launch pads at the Kulasekarapattinam spaceport by 2029, ISRO chairman S. Somanath said. The facility will include integration buildings, rail‑track infrastructure, and systems for telemetry, tracking and command. These elements aim to boost India’s space capabilities. The expansion is intended to increase launch capacity and support future missions, reducing dependence on overseas sites.
