Google has officially turned these Nest thermostats back into dumb thermostats
Google announced that it is disabling the advanced features of certain Nest thermostat models, effectively reverting them to simple temperature controllers. The update removes remote access, learning algorithms, and other smart capabilities, turning the devices into basic thermostats. Existing owners will receive the change via a software update, and the company cited unspecified reasons for the rollback.
