Danish Government silently drops plan to dump MS Office
Denmark’s government has quietly abandoned its earlier proposal to replace Microsoft Office with alternative software across public administrations. The decision, made without public announcement, means the existing Office suite will continue to be used by ministries and agencies. Officials cited cost, compatibility and transition challenges as reasons for halting the planned migration. The move reverses a digital‑strategy initiative launched in 2022.
