TNSTC driver killed as bus caught in landslip at Burliyar on Mettupalayam-Coonoor ghat road
On the Mettupalayam‑Coonoor ghat road, a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus was swept by a landslip at Burliyar, killing the driver. The slide triggered several additional slips, leaving over 300 passengers and other travelers stranded on the mountain route. Rescue teams were dispatched to clear debris and evacuate those affected. Authorities closed the road pending safety checks.
