Mahendra carries 325 kg as Dasara elephants begin ‘Ambari’ training
Elephant Mahendra successfully lifted a 325‑kilogram load during the initial ‘Ambari’ training for the Mysore Dasara festivities. The exercise marks the start of preparations for the golden howdah that will be carried in the procession. Fellow elephants Dhananjaya, Ekalavya and Prashantha are also being readied to compete for the honor of bearing the ceremonial carriage.
