Odisha moves Supreme Court against Andhra Pradesh over rural poll notice in Kotia area
Odisha has approached the Supreme Court to contest a poll notice issued by Andhra Pradesh for the Kotia Gram Panchayat area. While all 28 villages of the panchayat are officially in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh claims jurisdiction over 21 of them. Odisha previously raised the dispute in 1968, and the court ordered both states to keep the status quo in 2006.
