Twelve Years of Distributed SQLite
Over the past twelve years, developers have extended SQLite, a lightweight relational database, into a distributed system capable of handling data across multiple nodes. The project introduced replication, conflict resolution, and synchronization mechanisms while preserving SQLite’s simplicity and SQL compatibility. Lessons learned include balancing performance with consistency, managing network partitions, and ensuring seamless integration with existing applications.
