Yadgir bandh held to demand drought status for district
A bandh was organized in Yadgir city as locals pressed the state government to declare the district a drought‑affected area. The protest led to the shutdown through a citywide closure of shopping complexes, commercial centres, hotels, restaurants and the agricultural produce market. Essential services such as hospitals, pharmacies and milk distribution points continued operating normally.
