Polling for eight seats in Bihar's Legislative Council was conducted peacefully, according to a senior police officer, despite complaints from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) about alleged police harassment of its Patna Teachers’ candidate. Additionally, firecrackers were set off outside the residence of JD(U) MLA Anant Singh during a Jan Suraaj Party rally. Counting is scheduled for October 27.
