ICMR-funded GITAM project aims at blood test for early detection of triple-negative breast cancer
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has funded a study at GITAM University to develop a blood‑based test for early detection of triple‑negative breast cancer. Researchers will compare plasma samples from women with early‑stage disease to those from healthy controls, aiming to identify biomarkers that could enable earlier diagnosis and improve outcomes and survival.
