Local Wikipedia: Wikipedia, but only for things a half hour walk from you
Developers have launched a prototype called Local Wikipedia that limits entries to locations within roughly a thirty‑minute walk from the user. The platform pulls data from the main Wikipedia database but filters content based on geographic proximity, aiming to provide hyper‑local information about nearby landmarks, businesses, and history. The project is open‑source and invites community contributions.
