Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh criticised the ongoing monsoon session, calling it unusual that Parliament had not been prorogued 25 days after both houses were adjourned sine die on Aug. 13. He said the session was being used as a ‘ventilator’ while Speaker Shah seeks a two‑thirds majority to pass delimitation bills to redraw constituency boundaries.
