E. coli presence in bottled water in Keralam’s Kochi points at need to ensure water traceability
Tests have detected E. coli contamination in bottled water sold in Kochi, raising concerns about water safety. In response, the Kochi municipal corporation is proposing a rule that would obligate hotels to source drinking water exclusively from the Kerala Water Authority. Officials say the measure would improve water quality assurance and enable better traceability of supplies.
