Govt. wants ryots to get good price for cotton produced this year
The government is urging cotton farmers to secure better prices for this season's harvest, projected at about 29.4 lakh tonnes. While the market price for a quintal currently stands near ₹9,000, the official minimum support price remains ₹8,667. Officials hope the price advantage will improve farm incomes.
