12 cows killed in lightning strikes in Keralam’s Kottayam
In Kottayam district of Kerala, a lightning storm killed twelve cattle on the Cheruvally Estate near Erumeli. The estate, which houses several hundred cows, relies on livestock as a primary source of earnings for its labor force. The deaths may reduce milk output and affect families dependent on the herd for income.
