Labourer allegedly tied to pole, beaten to death in Vijayawada over a bottle of water
Police in Vijayawada arrested four men accused of tying a labourer to a pole and repeatedly striking him, resulting in his death. The assault allegedly stemmed from a dispute over a bottle of water. Patamata Circle Inspector V. Pavan Kishore confirmed the suspects are in custody while investigations continue. Authorities said the victim’s family was notified and a post‑mortem examination will be carried out.
