SIR gathers pace on second day as over 54.68 lakh enumeration forms distributed across Karnataka
On the second day of Karnataka's Socio‑Economic and Caste Census, officials distributed more than 5.468 million enumeration forms to households across the state. The exercise, part of a nationwide data‑collection drive, aims to capture information on income, occupation and social categories to guide welfare planning. The survey covers about 70 million households nationwide, guiding future scheme allocation.
