LG smart TVs caught logging audio with screen off and snooping on local devices
Researchers discovered that certain LG smart television models record ambient sound even when the display is turned off, and can access devices connected to the same network. The behavior was traced to built‑in software that captures audio and scans for nearby Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi devices. LG has acknowledged the issue and said it will release a firmware update to address the privacy concerns.
