Agrivoltaics on 10% of suitable land can meet 2050 power demand: Pralhad Joshi
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that installing solar panels on agricultural land—agrivoltaics—covering just 10% of the area suitable for the technology could satisfy India's electricity needs by 2050. He added that the government plans to include a specific agrivoltaics provision in the second phase of the PM‑Kusum programme, aiming to boost renewable capacity and integrate it into the national grid.
