CPI(M) warns against undermining democratic processes in local body elections

It called for new nomination chances in constituencies where voting irregularities have been noted and presented a manifesto that calls for increased fiscal independence for municipal and panchayat institutions. The party also urged state authorities to ensure transparent polling and to address any malpractice swiftly.
