T.N. Minister reviews Northeast monsoon preparedness in Cuddalore
Tamil Nadu’s minister for disaster management inspected readiness for the upcoming northeast monsoon in Cuddalore district. Officials have mapped 239 at‑risk locations, with 22 deemed extremely vulnerable. To address this, the government has prepared 28 cyclone shelters, 14 multipurpose shelters and 191 temporary shelters to accommodate affected residents. The review highlighted the importance of rapid response and coordination among local agencies.
