Sabarimala pilgrimage: KSRTC to deploy over 1,000 buses
The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation will operate more than a thousand buses for the upcoming Sabarimala pilgrimage season. It plans to allocate 461 buses for the Mandala pooja period and 561 for the Makaravilakku festival, supplementing them with leased vehicles. Additional special routes will link major depots to pilgrimage hubs such as Pampa and Nilakkal, with chartered trips organized by the Budget Tourism Cell.
