‘A difficult line’: meet the editors tackling Wikipedia’s arms trade pages
Volunteer editors and newcomers gathered for a ‘wikithon’ aimed at expanding Wikipedia’s coverage of the global arms trade. Participants worked to add detailed information on manufacturers, sales and regulations, addressing gaps and inconsistencies in existing entries. The initiative seeks to improve public access to reliable data on the industry and transparency while navigating Wikipedia’s editorial guidelines.
