Claude designed protein binders against scorpion neurotoxins
Anthropic’s AI model Claude was used to engineer protein binders that can neutralize scorpion neurotoxins. Researchers fed the system structural data of the toxins and guided it to generate candidate proteins, which were then synthesized and tested for binding affinity. Early results show the AI‑designed binders effectively attach to the toxins, suggesting a new route for antivenom development.
