On ECINet platform, access for States can be switched off and on centrally: report
According to a recent report, the Election Commission’s ECINet system can have state‑level access turned on or off by a central authority. The finding is notable because Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi have objected to the centralisation of ECINet and the associated electoral‑roll database, citing concerns over control, autonomy and data security.
