CPI(M) seeks President’s intervention to ensure withdrawal of Census Rule amendments
Communist Party of India (Marxist) has appealed to the President to reverse recent amendments to census regulations. Party leader M.A. Baby questioned the neutrality and privacy safeguards of expanding the enumerator pool, cautioning that the census could be misused for surveillance or to determine citizenship status. The party seeks a prompt withdrawal of the changes.
